I’ve seen several artists online talk about doing original sketchcards, either at local galleries or at conventions.  It’s something I’ve been considering for awhile as well, and with the new gallery I thought I’d give it a try.

Here’s the first one, an ink sketch based on a gargoyle I have. It’s 5″ x 7″, so pretty small, and I think I’d sell them at a very cheap, reasonable price.  Let me know, as always, what you think:

Awesome idea – the gallery I’m going to be hanging my stuff at loves the idea of small zombie images … about 5×7 or even smaller. i showed them my baseball card sized images and they liked them too … super easy and fast to do and so much fun. I say do it, inks and watercolors are my choice.

I might try some watercolor pencils behind the inks, we’ll see. I think it’s an interesting idea, and it might be a good one to try on the slower gallery night coming up. The first Friday gallery walk here is crazy in that gallery, standing room only. This Friday is a little quieter, people come by more to talk to the artists. Thanks!
